How renting moving boxes works
Renting moving boxes is faster and cheaper than buying cardboard ones. You choose the quantity and rental period, we deliver the boxes to your door on an agreed day, and we collect them once the rental period ends. No hunting for boxes in shops, no assembling them by hand, and no wondering what to do with the empties afterwards.
The whole order is placed online. Pick the number of boxes and the rental period. You see the final price at the point of ordering, and you pay on delivery — there is no deposit and no advance payment.
Choose your quantity (minimum 10 boxes)
Choose the rental length: first 14 days 0.80 €/box, extra days 0.05 €/box

Plastic crates or cardboard boxes?
The plastic crates we rent out survive stacking and carrying in a way single-use cardboard does not. They do not collapse when another box is placed on top, and they do not soften in damp conditions — which matters when belongings are carried outdoors on a rainy day.
Plastic crates are also the better environmental choice. The same crate is reused across many moves over several years, whereas a cardboard box often becomes waste after a single use. You also avoid having to dispose of dozens of flattened boxes once you have moved in.
Stack without collapsing
Will not soften in damp weather
Uniform sizes pack tightly into the van
No cardboard waste after the move
Built-in handles make carrying easier
Packing tips
A well-packed move is faster and safer. A few simple principles save time when unpacking and prevent breakages in transit.
Start early and work one room at a time. Pack the things you do not need day to day first — seasonal clothes, books and ornaments. Leave the kitchen and bathroom until last.
Pack heavy items such as books into small boxes
Keep any single box under about 20 kilos
Label every box with the room it should be unpacked in
Wrap fragile items individually and fill empty space with padding
Pack a clearly marked box of first-night essentials
Keep important documents and valuables with you, not in the boxes

Everything you need to know about renting moving boxes
Pricing is per box: 0.80 € per box for the first 14 days, then 0.05 € per box for each additional day. For example, 30 boxes for 18 days: the four extra days bring the per-box price to 1.00 €, so the hire is 30.00 €. Transport is 50 € (delivery 25 € + collection 25 €), giving 80.00 € in total. All prices include VAT and nothing is added to the bill later.
We deliver to Espoo, Helsinki, Järvenpää, Kauniainen, Kerava, Klaukkala, Sipoo, Tuusula and Vantaa. The delivery price is the same for every area. If you live outside it, call us on 045 645 4033 and we will see what can be arranged.
Deliveries and collections run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 8am and 6pm. You get a call from the driver 30–60 minutes before the doorbell, so you are not left waiting all day. Concentrating the routes on those days keeps transport costs — and therefore the price — low. Choose the day that suits you on the order form, and if your schedule is tight give us a call and we will see what can be arranged.
A rough guide for a typical household: studio 15–20 boxes, one-bedroom 25–35, two-bedroom 40–50, three-bedroom or larger 55–70, and a detached house 70 or more. The most common mistake is ordering too few — if you are hesitating between two quantities, take the larger one. The minimum order is 10 boxes.
The standard crate measures exactly 597 × 397 × 300 mm and carries around 30 kilos. They are made of durable hard plastic and are reusable. Because every crate is the same size, they stack tightly both at home and in the van.
Order at least 2–3 days before your preferred delivery date. Allow more time for the packing itself: we recommend ordering boxes about two weeks before the move so you can pack calmly in the evenings rather than cramming everything into the weekend beforehand.
You choose the rental length on the order form: the first 14 days cost 0.80 € per box, and each additional day 0.05 € per box. If you need longer once the rental has started, contact us before the collection date and we will move it.
Payment is made on delivery. There is no deposit and no advance payment, and you see the final price on the order form before confirming.
Yes. Boxes can be ordered directly from this page on their own. If you book a moving service at the same time, you get 10 % off the moving price.
Opened liquids, detergents and paints, perishable food, and flammable materials such as gas canisters. Valuables, jewellery, cash, passports, contracts and medication are best kept in a bag you carry yourself, so they are to hand on your first evening in the new home.
It is enough that they are empty and any loose dirt has been wiped off. We clean every crate before the next rental anyway, so no washing is needed. Do remove any tape or labels of your own if you used them.
Normal wear costs nothing — the crates are built to survive many moves. If one goes missing or is damaged beyond use, we charge 18 € per box. Mention any damage at collection and we will settle it there and then.
Renting is cheaper and less hassle. Bought cardboard boxes often cost more than renting crates for the whole move, and afterwards you are left with dozens of boxes to dispose of. Rented crates are collected on an agreed day, and you never have to assemble or store anything.
